Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 becomes India’s cheapest car with 6 airbags. Here is told how much you need to pay now

Maruti Suzuki Alto’s 10 has received six airbags as a standard security facility, as well as a minor collision in power and torque output.

Maruti Suzuki is in a competition to add six airbags to its passenger vehicles like Celerio and Brezza. The car manufacturer has now added six airbags as a standard safety facility in Alto K10. Available in four broad variants, namely – standard, LXI, VXI and VXI Plus, Maruti Suzuki was used to obtain dual airbags before Alto K10. Now, with the latest updates, all these variants are equipped as a standard fitment from the driver and passenger airbags, curtain airbags and side airbags.

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 gets a price increase

In addition to six airbags, upgrade has increased the price for 10 of the Maruti Suzuki Alto. Price increases amidst 6,000 and 16,000, depends on the version. Instead of prior-update pricing of 4.09 lakhs and 6.05 lakhs (East-Shore), Alto K10 is now priced between 4.23 lakhs and 6.21 Lakh (East-Shoreroom). VXI AMT variant, which is the cheapest AMT trim of Alto K10, now its price 5.81 lakh (ex-showroom), above 16,000 from previous pricing of 5.65 Lakh (East-Shoreroom).

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 gets minor strength and torque collision

In addition to the update security facility list, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has also received a slight collision in electricity and torque output. Entry-level small hatchback is powered by a single 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, while the offer also has petrol-CNG powertrain. Transmission options also remain the same for the car, as it continues to get a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit as an alternative. However, the engine now churning the 1.47 bhp additional power and 2 nm first compared to the additional torque.

The 1.0-liter engine produces a maximum torque of 91 Nm in 67.56 bhp peak power and petrol mode, while in CNG mode, the engine produces 56.22 bhp peak power and 82 Nm maximum torque. The car offers a 24.90 kmpl fuel economy in the petrol version and 33.40 km/kg in the CNG version.
