Let us tell you what is the connection between mosquito bite and your blood group.

Mosquitoes are thirsty for the blood of this blood group
In fact, many researches have revealed that only female mosquitoes bite humans. Reproduction is the real reason behind their bite or rather drinking your blood. These female mosquitoes lay eggs only after taking the nutrients present in your blood. In such a situation, according to Japanese scientists, mosquitoes are more attracted towards people of O blood group than A blood group. It is believed that mosquitoes like the blood of people with ‘O’ blood group more and people with this blood group are bitten more by mosquitoes. It has been proved in many researches that people with ‘O’ blood group have higher metabolic rate and hence mosquitoes are attracted towards such people.

Carbon dioxide attracts
Along with this, the smell of carbon dioxide also rapidly attracts mosquitoes towards humans. Female mosquitoes are attracted towards the human body by sensing the smell of carbon dioxide with their sensing organ. This is the reason why when you are sleeping peacefully at night, mosquitoes detect the smell of CO2 and come near you.

According to scientists, some special fluids of the human body also attract mosquitoes, like uric acid, lactic acid, smell of ammonia etc. The smell that comes from humans makes mosquitoes hover more there.
