New Delhi. Toyota has recently expanded its lineup by introducing the Fortuner Leader Edition in India. This new variant of Fortuner SUV is based on diesel 4×2 models. This new edition has been launched on the occasion of achieving a special milestone. Since the introduction of Fortuner SUVs in India in 2009, more than 250,000 models have been sold. Aesthetic and functional upgrades have been given in this Leader Edition.
The Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is not just another edition. Many unique features and updates have been provided in it. Buyers can choose between manual and automatic transmission. It also has many practical enhancements like Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), auto-folding outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) and a wireless charger.

The appeal of the car has also been enhanced. It has new black alloy wheels with three dual-tone color options. These options are- Super White, Platinum Pearl White and Silver Metallic. New front and rear bumper spoilers have been provided in this SUV. At present, Toyota has not revealed the official price for the Fortuner Leader Edition, but it is expected to be slightly more expensive than the standard Fortuner 4×2 price range i.e. Rs 35.93 lakh to Rs 38.21 lakh.
Fortuner Leader Edition has a 2.8-litre diesel engine generating power of 204hp. The engine generates 500Nm of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission and 420Nm of torque with a manual gearbox.
