Natsuko breaking the barrier separating the real life and anime worlds has undoubtedly shaken up the “A Tale of Perishing” timeline. Zenshuu Episode 3 introduced fans to Destiny, who, as reflected by the gist of her name, is destined to form a romantic relationship with Luke Braveheart. However, Natsuko’s appearance during the Last Town Harvest Festival destroys that imaginary subplot, finally providing the Nine Soldiers some stretching space.
On January 19, MAPPA Studio released a preview of Zenshu episode 4, titled “Eternity”. As always, Uniyo, the “cool and handsome unicorn” returns as the narrator – this time, Natsuko is sending a direct message to Hirose. He says, “I hasten to tell you that ever since we started living with you, Luke has been making strange dishes and no longer playing with me, which causes me a lot of stress.” After expressing his discomfort, he also wishes she could “digest some of Memmene’s beauty.”

According to the anime’s official website, TV Tokyo will be the primary Japanese broadcast channel of the new MAPPA series. Season 1 episodes began airing on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Other networks such as BS TV Tokyo and AT-X will also begin airing the show at later dates.
Amazon Prime Video has streaming distribution rights in select locations. ABEMA Premium and Anime Store, along with other services, will also stream the show.
However, fans’ trusted anime companion, Crunchyroll will bring the Japanese release closer to a global audience.
