New Delhi: The heat of the war between Russia and Ukraine does not seem to be subsiding yet. Ukrainian President Zelensky has once again shown his strength to Putin. Ukraine has bombed the Russian capital Moscow with drones overnight. Due to this the entire area was covered in smoke. However, Russia says that it has shot down 144 drones of Ukraine.
At least one person has been killed in Ukrainian drone attacks around Moscow, the region’s governor said on Tuesday. He said reports that a child had been killed in the first attack were not confirmed. Governor Andrey Vorobyov said three people were hospitalized after one of the attacks. He said a 46-year-old woman died (earlier it was reported that a nine-year-old child had died, but this information was not confirmed).
Russian officials said at least 144 drones were shot down in drone attacks around Moscow on Tuesday. Several residential buildings caught fire in this attack, a woman died and more than 30 flights had to be stopped. The governor of the Bryansk region in south-west Russia said that more than 60 drones were shot down in this area bordering Ukraine. However, there is no report of any casualties or damage here.
The domestic drone industry is growing rapidly in Ukraine. Ukraine is constantly carrying out drone attacks on Russia’s energy, military and transport bases. Russian news agency RIA reported that more than 30 domestic and international flights have been stopped from Domodedovo and Zhukovo airports. Meanwhile, Ukraine is pressuring the US to give it more powerful weapons so that it can cause more damage to Russia and weaken Russia’s attack capability.
The Ramenskoye district, located about 50 kilometers south-east of the Kremlin, has a population of about 4 lakh. Telegram channels Shot and Baza associated with the Russian security services have posted a video of flames rising from a multi-storey building. It is reported that five flats have been destroyed in the drone attack in the Ramenskoye district. Earlier in early September, Ukraine had also carried out several drone attacks on Russian energy centers and power plants.
Zelensky has attacked Russia at a time when the Ukraine war is at a crucial juncture. Many countries of the world, including India and China, are engaged in ending the war. On behalf of India, NSA Ajit Doval is also going to Russia to mediate. Russia is attacking eastern Ukraine and is trying to drive out the Ukrainian army from the western border.
