New Delhi: Audience knows Mukesh Khanna from shows like ‘Shaktimaan’ and ‘Mahabharat’. He came into limelight when he suggested that ‘Pushpa 2’ star Allu Arjun was best suited for the role of Shaktimaan. Mukesh Khanna recently told in a conversation that Ranveer Singh cannot be a good choice for the role of Shaktimaan. He also told that years ago Aditya Chopra’s team had approached him and wanted to buy the rights of Shaktimaan, however he rejected the offer.

Mukesh Khanna said in a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, ‘Ten years ago I was approached by Aditya Chopra’s group. He asked me if I could give him the rights of Shaktimaan. He further told that coincidentally Ranveer Singh’s fan posted Shaktimaan’s picture on social media and then suddenly he got a call for the rights. Mukesh refused to give the rights. He said that he did not want to give the rights because it would have turned it into a ‘disco drama’.

Aditya Chopra was given a special offer
Mukesh Khanna further said, ‘I told him – tell Aditya that if you want to make it, then make it with me.’ I did not want to give them the rights to make ‘disco drama’. I refused.’ Meanwhile, Mukesh Khanna said that Allu Arjun is right for the role of Shaktimaan. He said that he is not committed to anything, nor is he taking any decisions, but he feels that Allu Arjun can be a great choice for the role of Shaktimaan. He said, ‘In real life too he has good looks and good height, only he has been made a villain in this. This can be said and thought about. Shaktimaan can be brought on its face.
