incredible India: India is a wonderful country, where there are many religions, beliefs, languages and cultures. In our naturally rich country, you will get to hear many such tales and stories which cannot be believed. Today we are going to tell you about one such temple in India, where matchsticks were never lit in the last 500 years. This thing is surprising because in this temple God is worshiped every day, a lamp is also placed in front of him and incense sticks are also lit. Havan is also performed in this temple from time to time and bhog is also prepared for the Lord in the kitchen every day. But till date no match has been lit in the temple for any of these things. You too were surprised to hear this. Let us tell you, which temple is this and why the tradition has been going on from here for so many years.
Shri Radharaman has been serving for 500 years
We are talking, Sri Radha Raman Temple of Vrindavan near Mathura, where every day thousands of devotees come to see the Radharaman form of Lord Krishna. This temple is about 500 years old And Pundarik Goswami Maharaj, who worships in this temple, while talking about the history of this temple, tells in a podcast that Radharaman Lal Ju had appeared here from Shaligram Shila about 500 years ago. Since then, Lord Krishna is worshiped in the form of Radharaman in this temple.

Why has the matchbox not been lit till now?
Pundarik Goswami Maharaj told that when Radharaman Lalju appeared about 482 years before the devotion of Gopal Bhatta Goswami, the ardent disciple of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna, fire was required for his worship. It was early morning, so Gopal Bhatt ji, after reciting the hymns for fire in the Rigveda, rubbed the havan sticks and lit the fire. The same lit fire has been kept in this temple till date. This fire is maintained with the help of fuel and till today food is being cooked in the kitchen of the temple with this fire.

Radha Rani’s throne service is done
That means this fire, which has been burning for 500 years, has not been allowed to be extinguished till date. This practice started by Swami Gopalbhatta is still being followed by his followers in this temple. From the food offered in the temple to the lamps used in worship, everything is lit with this fire. Gopalbhatta Swamiji was a disciple of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and this Shri Radharaman Temple of Vrindavan carries forward the sect of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. It is believed that the idol (idol) of Shri Krishna ji in Radharaman actually looked like this when Shri Krishna was born thousands of years ago. In this temple, the throne of Radha Rani is served along with Shri Krishna. That means his idol is not there, but his place is made near Shri Krishna and that place is worshipped. It is believed that Radha Rani is still performing her leela and when her leela is completed, she will sit near Radharaman Lalju.
