Why did ED raid Tapas Roy’s residence?

In January this year, the Enforcement Directorate had raided the premises of Tapas Roy and two other TMC leaders in an alleged recruitment scam in the civic body. The federal agency said the search was related to scams within municipalities and may involve potential scams 200 crores.
