New Delhi. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on March 19 that the first ‘Made in India’ chip will be available in the market by December 2024. He was speaking at AyraNews24x7 Network’s leadership event, ‘AyraNews24x7 Rising India Summit’. Let us tell you that this summit is going on in New Delhi on 19th and 20th March. Ashwini Vaishnav further said that the country has become an electronics hub. The minister said that telecom equipment worth about $1 billion is being exported from India.
Last week, the minister had said that the first chips made in India from Tata Electronics and CG Power’s chip manufacturing plant in Dholera, Gujarat will hit the market by the end of 2026. At the inauguration ceremony of the plant, Vaishnav said, “The first chip from Dholera will come in December 2026. The chip will arrive from Micron’s plant by December 2024. The country will be among the top 5 chip ecosystems in the world by 2029.”

What was said on railways?
On railways, he claimed that before 2014 the sector was used as a political tool. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party led government has laid the foundation for the development of Indian Railways in the last 10 years. Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Railway employees are very happy about the future plans of Indian Railways.”
Railway Minister said in ‘Rising India’ that bullet train will become a reality in the country after 2 years. Preparations are going on very fast and the bullet train will be launched in 2026. Pointing towards the changes coming in Indian Railways, the Railway Minister said that the biggest objective of the government is the safety of passengers.
The Railway Minister said that 284 kilometers of Bullet Train track work has been completed. This figure is from 10-12 days ago, when I did the review. In other countries it takes 20 years to complete the bullet train project, but see in India.
