She won a lot of applause by playing the character of Zoya in ‘Animal’. Recently the actress told that when her previous film ‘Laila Majnu’ did not work, she was heartbroken.
Avinash Tiwari worked with Trupti Dimri in the film ‘Laila Majnu’ released in 2018. However, this movie could not perform well at the box office in terms of earning. During an interview with E Times, Trupti Dimri told that when ‘Laila Majnu’ was about to be released, she was buying vegetables in Pali market. She told that she lives in a rented apartment and does most of her work herself.
Trupti Dimri’s dream was broken in one stroke
Trupti Dimri further said that at that time she was thinking that after the release of ‘Laila Majnu’, it would be difficult not to leave the house, because people would start recognizing her. She would become famous, but it did not happen. When ‘Laila Majnu’ was released, very few people reached the theater to watch it. When the film did not do well at the box office, Trupti Dimri was heartbroken.
Switched from theater to OTT
The actress told that even after the flop of ‘Laila Majnu’, she was offered many films, but all of them were not exciting. After this, Trupti quietly started working on her craft and attended many workshops. After this he worked in the film ‘Bulbul’. Trupti told that many people had questioned her decision to switch from theater to OTT, because Netflix had released only 8 films from India at that time.
‘Bulbul’ movie changed life
Trupti Dimri told, ‘I said that whatever happens, I will definitely do this film. I like the story very much. I like the character very much. no matter what happen. It may flop. It may work well. I am not thinking about all those things. I just want to experience it and this was the film that changed my life.
