Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan reportedly dated for a few years after the 1999 film Hum Dil De Chuke. In an interview with Simi Garewal’s celebrity chat show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal in 2012, Aishwarya was asked about her ugly break-up with Salman and an incident where he asked her about Aishwarya’s film Chalte Chalte (2023). Aishwarya did not want to talk about Salman Khan
When Aishwarya Rai was asked to ‘look at the Salman episode objectively’, the actor refused to comment about her ex-boyfriend. She replied, “I think I’ve shut it down enough. I guess I wouldn’t want to see it any other way, especially on a public forum. “I really wouldn’t want to do that.”
‘There’s a clear wall’
When Simi asked, ‘Do you feel negative about it?’ Aishwarya said, “I have exorcised my ghosts; This is a thing of the past; It needs to be left there.” Simi again tries to talk to Aishwarya about her past relationship and asks if she still cares about it so much that she can’t talk about it.
When Aishwarya was asked if she felt sad talking about her former relationship with Salman Khan, she said that she wanted to avoid speaking about ‘certain situations and aspects of her life in public’ . Aishwarya said, “I am not a solo artiste… I am accompanied by my family, my loved ones, people whom I love and care about very much. So there is a clear wall. Yes there is; And there’s no denying that.”
Aishwarya Rai is married to actor Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007. They have a daughter named Aaradhya Bachchan. After dating actor Katrina Kaif for a few years, Salman has reportedly been in a relationship with Romanian actor Iulia Vantur for years.
