The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has introduced a user-friendly update for UPI payments, but WhatsApp and Amazon Prime users will face new limitations.

UPI 123Pay limit increased
RBI has increased the limit of transactions through UPI 123Pay. Through this service, UPI transactions can be done from feature phones. Before this change, users had a limit of Rs 5000, which has now been increased to Rs 10,000. If you are a smartphone user then the daily transaction cap is still up to Rs 1 lakh. However, for essential services like hospital payment, the limit is Rs 5 lakh.
WhatsApp will stop supporting old phones
If you are still using devices running Google’s decade-old operating system Android KitKat, then WhatsApp is stopping working on them from today. WhatsApp’s parent company Meta had announced this several months ago.

WhatsApp will no longer work on handsets from many brands like Samsung, Motorola, HTC, LG and Sony which are still using Android KitKat. If you want to use the messaging app on an old device, you will have to upgrade your smartphone or switch to a new smartphone.
Now the limit of Amazon Prime Video devices changed
If you are an Amazon Prime Video user then it is important for you to know this. Because Amazon has imposed new restrictions on the use of multiple devices simultaneously. From January 1, users can stream content on up to two TVs at the same time. To access Prime Video on more than two TVs, users will have to purchase separate memberships. However, the company has not said whether this cap also applies to mobile devices or not.
