New Delhi: A big revelation has been made about Elon Musk, the world’s famous billionaire and owner of social media platform X. Elon Musk’s social media company ‘X’ (earlier Twitter) is providing premium and paid services to terrorists. According to a new report by TTP i.e. Tech Transparency Project, X is providing premium and paid services to the accounts of two terrorists whose organization has been declared a terrorist group by the US. According to the report, apart from the two leaders of the US-designated terrorist group, X is also providing premium and paid services to the accounts of many other organizations banned by the government.
The report identified more than a dozen X accounts of organizations banned by the US, which had blue ticks on them. Let us tell you that Blue Tick on X now requires the purchase of a premium subscription. X Premium offers a variety of benefits to blue tick accounts, including the ability to post longer text and videos, as well as more visuals.
According to the report, 28 verified accounts belong to individuals and groups whom the US government has declared a threat to national security. This group includes two terrorists of Hezbollah, accounts related to Houthi in Yemen and government media accounts of Iran and Russia. Of these accounts, 18 were verified after X started charging for verification in April last year.
‘The fact that X requires users to pay a monthly or annual fee for a premium service suggests that Is.’ When TTP researchers asked about the accounts, an X representative said he would look into it, but did not comment.

“A few hours after this report was published, X removed all blue ticks mentioned in the report and suspended an account of the Iranian-sponsored militia Harakat al-Nujaba,” the report said. Those who lost the blue tick also included accounts related to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Houthi rebels in Yemen. However, X shared a statement from the company’s safety account, saying that the teams have reviewed the TTP report and will take action if necessary.
According to the company, ‘Many accounts listed in the Technical Transparency Report have not been directly named on the sanction list, while some others may have visible checkmarks without receiving any services and will be subject to sanctions.’ Blue ticks on the The Premium tier costs eight dollars per month or $84 per year, while Premium+ costs $16 per month or $168 annually. Golden ticks indicate that an account has paid X to become a “Verified Organization.”
