It is believed that nothing can come in the way of a determined person who wants to fulfill his dreams. One such person is a student who bravely faced all the challenges to achieve his dreams despite adverse circumstances. His struggle, unwavering determination and dedication serve as an inspiration for many.

Sudeep Maiti is a resident of Panskura, East Medinipur, West Bengal. He is a resident of Mohammad Murad Maiti Colony which comes under Purushottampur gram panchayat of Panskura. He lives in a hut made of three umbrellas. His father, Govinda Maiti was a mason by profession but has been ill for quite some time. Although he might have built houses for others, he could not build a house for himself due to his illness. Therefore, his wife and Sudeep’s mother, Neelima Devi stood by the family like a rock and started making beedis to support the family.

He has also married his two daughters. Meanwhile, there was no provision for him to live even in the government housing scheme. In an unexpected and surprising turn of events, Sudeep Maiti received a call from the Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO), making his relatives, neighbors and residents quite happy for the talented student.

Sudip Maiti studied in the village school, Chak Durga Primary School and was a bright student. He earned a Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic College, Sealdah and passed 12th class from Purvachilka Lalchand High School in Science stream with 70% marks. After this he completed B.Tech from a private college in Kolkata and is currently pursuing M.Tech in IIT Guwahati.

This talented student had only one goal, to join DRDO and work on the national security of the country. Eventually he got a golden opportunity to work as a junior researcher at DRDO, Dehradun as a part of fellowship.
