Volkswagen India has recently confirmed in a statement that Golf GTI will be launched on our shores in the beginning of Q2 2025.
Volkswagen Golf GTI is launching in India. The automaker recently confirmed this with the upcoming launch of Volkswagen Tiguan R-line in India. Launching in the second quarter of 2025, GTI is expected to start as April 2025 as April 2025.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI will be retailed as a fully manufactured unit (CBU) in India. It is estimated that only 250 units of Golf GTI will be imported to India. Reports show that some dealerships have already started taking pre-orders.
Volkswagen Golf GTI: Design
2024 Golf GTI maintains its hallmark design features, with traditional sporty and aggressive appearance. The front is treated with signature Volkswagen Grill, which affects the ‘GTI’ badge on it. Tight further enhances visibility to headlamps led by matrix. Below this is an aggressive front bumper accommodation a large honeycomb Aries pattern.

Back, sporty defuses and twin exhaust add to the performance theme. The 18-inch double tone mixtures are standard, and for those who want a little extra in visual growth, 19-inch wheels are available.
Volkswagen Golf GTI: Internal and Technology
VW Golf GTI has an all-black cabin theme. It is equipped with a sport bucket seats designed to offer a comfortable seating position. In addition, the three spoke steering wheels have a GTI badge. These sporty metallic paddle and GTI-spec are associated with digital climate controls.
The main attraction of the cabin is a 12.9 -inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and technology employed in contemporary vehicles. There is also automatic climate control and wireless charging for the phone.

Volkswagen Golf GTI: Specification
The VW golf comes under the GTI hood with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine produces 245 bhp and 370 Nm maximum torque which is for front wheels. The hatchback can reach 100 kmph in a claimed 5.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 250khph.
Volkswagen Golf GTI: Expected Price
To be deployed as a superior performance hatchback, Golf GTI will enter the Indian market with limited direct contestants. Its major rival is the mini cooper S, another symbolic display. VW Golf GTI is expected to be priced 50 lakhs, East-Dhoroom.
