UPSC Admit Card 2024: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the UPSC Admit Card 2024. UPSC Preliminary Exam Earlier, the UPSC preliminary exam was scheduled for May 26, 2024, but it was postponed due to the impending general elections 2024. Eligible candidates who have successfully registered for the preliminary exams can download their admit cards from the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in using their login credentials after it is made public by the UPSC.

The UPSC prelims admit card contains information such as the candidate’s name, roll number and address, category and father’s name. It also contains exam details such as exam date, time and venue.

UPSC Prelims Exam 2024: Steps to Download Admit Card

  • Visit the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in.
  • Go to the ‘What’s New’ section available on the homepage
  • Click on UPSC Prelims 2024 Admit Card Activate link
  • A new window will open; enter your login credentials
  • Click on “Submit” button
  • Your UPSC Preliminary Exam Admit Card will appear on the screen.
  • Download the preliminary exam admit card; take a printout for future reference

UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024: Exam Pattern

The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam consists of two objective type papers carrying 400 marks.

The exam will be held in two sessions: The session to be held from 9.30 am to 11.30 am will be on General Studies (GS) covering Indian Polity, Geography, History, Indian Economy, Science & Technology, Environment & Ecology, and International Relations.

The second session will be the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. It will include reasoning and analytical questions, reading comprehension questions and decision-making questions.

After the preliminary examination, UPSC will release the list of successful candidates eligible for the main examination for which minimum qualifying marks of 33% will be required.

As per the official notification, the total vacancies to be filled through UPSC 2024 are 1,056 in various central government services and departments, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), with 40 seats reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability category.
