Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) The application for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will shut down the window, 2025 tomorrow, on 18 February upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in.

Previously, the application deadline was 11 February.

“The last date to submit to CS (P) -2025 and Ephos (P) –2025 has been extended to 18.02.2025 (06:00 pm). Also, the 7 -day improvement window will now be available till the end of 7 days. . After the closure of the application window IE from the next day to 19.02.2025 to 25.02.2025, ”reads the official notification.

This year, the Civil Services Examination will be conducted for about 979 vacancies.

Before applying for the exam, candidates must make a one -time registration (OTR) profile. The OTR profile is valid for a lifetime, and those who have created a profile can fill the application form directly.

UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) Examination 2025 will be held on 25 May 2025.

About UPSC CSE exam 2025

UPSC CSE 2025 will have two parts – prelims and main (written test and interview). A detailed plan and syllabus of the examination can be checked on the Commission’s website.

The wrong answers to the objective-type questions asked in UPSC CSE 2025 will give rise to negative marking.

Eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee

To appear for UPSC CSE 2025, candidates require a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent qualification.

Those who appear for the qualifying examination for a bachelor’s degree, but are waiting for the result, will also be allowed to apply. However, if the interview/personality is eligible for testing, they have to prove that they have passed the exam.

In MBBS/BDS/Veterinary Science etc., candidates and equivalent degrees will have to submit evidence of completion of internship.

Candidates with MBBS or other professional qualifications who are yet to complete the internship for medical degrees will be allowed provisional to the UPSC CSE 2025. They have to submit a degree certificate and proof of completion of internship at the time of interview.

Candidates can be 21 years of age and upper age can be 32 on August 1, 2025. The upper age limit will be rested for the reserve category candidates.

Unreserved category candidates can try six times for UPSC CSE. OBC candidates can try the exam nine times, and there is no limit to the number of efforts for SC or ST candidates.

UPSC CSE 2025 is the application fee 100. Women/SC/ST/individuals with benchmark disability category candidates are not required to pay any application fee.
