The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board issued a special alert ahead of the UP Police constable recruitment exam after the exam paper was leaked on February 18-19, 2024. Around 48 lakh candidates had applied for the exam, which has now been rescheduled for August 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31, 2024.
An important notice posted on the board’s social media accounts on August 5 appeals for the public’s assistance in reporting any suspicious activity related to the exam, including paper leaks and cheating. The notice states that information can be given anonymously through the email address and WhatsApp number provided by the board. The contact details are: satarkta.policeboard@gmail.com and WhatsApp number 9454457951. The board assures that the identity of the informers will be kept confidential.
Any information related to attempts to undermine the recruitment exams – such as paper leaks, buying or selling of papers, cheating, solver gangs or other undesirable activities – should be reported to the board. The upcoming exam will be conducted in two shifts each day with a total of 5 lakh candidates appearing per shift. Recruitment will be done for 60,244 constable posts across the state. The board stressed its commitment to conduct the exam fairly and warned that those involved in fraudulent activities may face severe penalties including life imprisonment and a fine of up to Rs 1 crore.
