The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) will conduct the re-exam for the Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 from August 23. Around 48 lakh candidates will compete to fill 60,244 posts.
This exam was conducted in February 2024 but was cancelled due to paper leak.
UP Police Constable Exam Date
The recruitment exam will be held in two shifts on August 23-25 ​​and August 30-31. There will be two shifts on each exam day, with around 5 lakh candidates appearing at 1,174 exam centres in 67 districts.
As per the notice released by the UPPRPB Board, the exam dates have been scheduled separately. Janmashtami is on 26 August, which is a national holiday.,
Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, physical test, document verification and medical examination. Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for further recruitment process.

Candidates traveling by bus must also download two extra copies of their admit card. One copy of the card must be presented to the bus conductor for traveling to the district of the examination center and the other copy for traveling to their district after the exam.
Exam cancelled due to paper leak
The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on February 17 and 18 but was cancelled due to paper leak. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while ordering the cancellation of the exam, had ensured that the new Police Recruitment 2024 exam will be conducted in a transparent manner within six months.
In a post on ‘X’, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said“There can be no compromise on the sanctity of examinations. Those who tamper with the hard work of the youth will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action will be taken against such unruly elements.”
More than 48 lakh candidates, including about 16 lakh women, appeared in the recruitment exam held in February. The exam was conducted at 2,835 centers in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
