A modern control room has been set up in the office of the Joint Director of Education, Prayagraj Division, to monitor the educational activities of 150 government inter colleges in Prayagraj Division online.
Online monitoring of 150 government residential schools of the four districts of the division, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur and Kaushambi has been started from the control room. Under this, 35 government residential schools in Prayagraj, 25 in Kaushambi, 47 in Fatehpur and 43 in Pratapgarh will be monitored. The classes of these schools will be directly monitored from the control room set up in the office of Joint Director of Secondary Education, Prayagraj.
This will help in knowing whether teachers are teaching in schools or not. Apart from this, information about other activities happening in schools will also be available. With the help of technology, schools can be monitored even without physical visit. On this occasion, Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mahendra Dev said that the children studying in government inter colleges are brilliant. They just need proper guidance. Efforts are being made to ensure that they do not have any shortcomings. This online monitoring system has been started for this purpose. The cooperation of parents and teachers is necessary in this.
He said that he will also appeal to retired teachers to teach in our schools. He said that the efforts made in Prayagraj division are commendable. Preparations are being made to implement it in the entire state. He said that we will also take feedback. We are trying to bring all our schools on camera. He said that there are 2300 government residential schools in the state. By December, all government residential schools will be connected to the online monitoring system.
According to Divya Kant Shukla, Joint Director of Secondary Education Prayagraj Division, in the second phase, aided and unaided schools of the division will also join this campaign. In the second phase, aided and unaided schools of the district will also join the campaign. 360 aided schools of the district will join the campaign. In this way, classes will be monitored online. According to Deputy Education Director Divya Kant Shukla, online monitoring of classes will be done only to improve the level of education.
UP Board Secretary Divya Kant Shukla said that the special thing about this project is that no extra expenditure will have to be incurred on this campaign. UP Board had installed CCTV cameras in schools for monitoring during the examination. With the help of these cameras, the classes were monitored during the examination. Now with the help of these cameras, the classes are also being monitored online. He expressed hope that with the use of cameras, the quality of education in secondary schools will improve further.
It is worth noting that more than 27 thousand schools are associated with the Board of Secondary Education i.e. UP Board. Online monitoring was arranged to ensure fairness, transparency and purity of the 10th and 12th examinations. Online monitoring of examination centers was done from the UP Board headquarters and the control room set up in Lucknow. With this, cheating-free examinations could be conducted in the entire state. Now there is a plan to improve the quality of education through this pilot project. With this, children studying in government inter colleges will also be able to make a place in the merit list.
