Unique initiative: New social initiative in Barmer, donated money to educational institute in lieu of thirteenth day

Barmer. An excellent example of social awareness has been seen in Barmer. This has become possible due to increasing awareness in the society along with education. Due to changing thinking with time, people are staying away from social evils. Death feast is also one of these. According to the beliefs of Hindu religion, after the death of someone, food is offered to Brahmins and other people after about 12 days of the last rites. However, now the times are changing and while fighting the social evils, the Meghwal community of Bisu Khurd in the border Barmer district of Western Rajasthan has taken a commendable decision against the death feast.

Promotion of education instead of death feast
After the death of their mother, Vice Principal Vedaram and his brothers have contributed Rs 5 lakh 50 thousand in the field of education instead of having a funeral feast. After the death of Samdha Devi, resident of Dhani Bisu Khurd, Khintlio on November 10, her son Vedaram Khimawat and other family members decided that her memory should be made permanent. He did not organize any special event even on the thirteenth. On this occasion, the Khintalia family has announced to donate Rs 1.5 lakh to MS Hostel, Rs 1.5 lakh to Shiv Hostel and Rs 1 lakh under the Study Adoption Scheme of RMP in the memory of late Samdha Devi.

Contribution amount to educational institution
Apart from this, one student each from MS 4, Nimbani ki Dhani Vidyalaya, Arogya Library Gudamalani, Girls Hostel Jhalamand Jodhpur, Arogya Bhawan Jodhpur, MS 4 Hostel Gida and Balotra, Shiv Ganesh Hostel Sanchore, Primary School Khintlio ki Dhani, Fifty Villagers, Mook. Deaf Sai Sansthan Barmer, plantation and water conservation work Bisondar Nadi, Mercury and It has been announced to provide a support of Rs 5.50 lakh to Bhim Sahitya Sansthan, including a cash amount of Rs 10,000 each.

Leave aside bad practices and adopt innovation
Vedaram Khintalia is currently working as Vice Principal in Raumavi Nimbaniyo School. While his two other brothers Nenaram are farmers and Hiraram are nursing officers. On the death of his father Dauram two years ago, he had also donated an amount of Rs 5 lakh in the memory of him as a contribution in the field of education. His efforts are expected to bring innovation in traditional activities in the area. This is expected to bring about a change in practices among other people in the society.
