National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to start the registration process for UGC NET June 2024 edition soon. Interested candidates can complete their online registration on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. UGC NET for June 2024 session is reportedly scheduled to be held from June 10 to June 21, 2024.
UGC-NET is an examination primarily to determine the eligibility of an Indian citizen for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges. The examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year in June and December, UGC NET June 2024 Notification will be available soon at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
UGC NET June 2024: Eligibility
Interested candidates must have post graduate degree from a recognized college or university University Grants Commission (UGC).
It is important to note that reserved category candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in educational qualification. Students who have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) before June 1, 2002 are exempted from appearing in UGC NET.
The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only. UGC NET 2024 will include a total of 83 subjects.
The UGC has recently approved the use of National Eligibility Test (NET) score for PhD admissions starting from the 2024-25 academic session. This decision will help streamline the admission process under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, eliminating the need for multiple entrance exams.

Unreserved category candidates have to pay for UGC NET June 2024 exam application OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs 1150 600 more Rs 325 for SC/ST/PWD/Third Gender candidates.
