Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) chief on August 3 strongly criticised Home Minister Amit Shah for his earlier remarks in which Shah had dubbed Thackeray as the “head of Aurangzeb fan club”. The party chief called Amit Shah a political descendant of Afghan king Ahmad Shah Abdali, who defeated the Marathas in the Third Battle of Panipat.
Addressing party workers in Pune, the Shiv Sena chief also accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of doing “power jihad” by breaking political parties to form government.
what did uddhav thackeray say
“If Muslims are with us and we have explained our Hindutva to them, then we (according to the BJP) are Aurangzeb fan club. So what you are doing is power jihad.”
Addressing party workers, Thackeray said, “Amit Shah is the political descendant of Ahmed Shah Abdali. He was also a Shah. He was Ahmed Shah and he is Amit Shah. Will he teach us Hindutva? You ate Nawaz Sharif’s birthday cake and we should learn Hindutva from you?”
“Ahmed Shah Abdali’s political descendant Amit Shah Abdali is now trying to teach us Hindutva”
