Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has announced the annual academic calendar for the 2025-26 season. Check important events.

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education, TSBIE has released the annual academic calendar for all junior colleges of the state for 2025-2026 session.

The academic calendar includes both general and commercial courses. According to TSBIE, the aim of the schedule is to ensure a structured educational year for students pursuing their intermediate education.

Important events according to academic calendar 2025-26:

  1. Refraining of junior colleges: The educational year for the first and second year students will begin on 2 June 2025 (Monday).
  2. Dussehra holiday: 28 September 2025 to 5 October 2025.
  3. Dussehra reopen after holidays: Classes will resume on 6 October 2025 (Monday).
  4. Semi-annual examination: 10 November 2025 to 15 November 2025.
  5. Sankranti holiday: 11 January 2026 to 18 January 2026.
  6. Refruiting after Sankranti Holidays: Classes resume on 19 January 2026 (Monday).
  7. Pre-final exam: Set between 19 January 2026 and 24 January 2026.
  8. Practical Examination (IPE-2026): To be held in the first week of February 2026.
  9. Theory Examination (IPE-2026): To start in the first week of March 2026.
  10. Last working day for academic year: 31 March 2026.
  11. Summer holiday: 1 April 2026 to 31 May 2026.
  12. Advanced Supplementary Examination (IPASE-2025): Planned for the last week of May 2026.
  13. 2026-2027 Removing colleges for the academic year: 1 June 2026 (Monday).

Action Day and Holidays:

According to the TSBIE press statement, the academic year will include 226 possible working days, which will ensure extensive teaching for students.

Additionally, all Sundays and public holidays announced by the Telangana government will be strictly seen.

Guidelines for junior colleges:

1. Private united junior colleges should follow the summer holiday schedule from 30 March 2025 to 1 June 2025.

2. According to the government program, all public holidays should be strictly followed.

3. Admission should be aligned with a schedule announced by Telangana Board of Intermediate Education.

In addition, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has urged all junior colleges to follow the guidelines to ensure a smooth academic year for students.
