In an interview with Forbes India, Trupti talked about the criticism she faced for her roles in Animal and Bad News, revealing that she does not regret her choice. She said, “I am someone who wants to give 100 percent. If I find the character or the story interesting then I want to give it my all. This is what I’ve learned – if it works, it works, and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. We won’t always be liked by everyone. There will be some people who like you, and there will be some who don’t like you. You can’t keep all that noise in your mind. You have to listen to your heart and do what feels right to you. Tomorrow, you may look back and think it was a mistake, but in that moment, you were true.

During the conversation, she was also asked whether she was deliberately trying to move away from her “highly sexualized” image, Trupti denied such claims. She shared, “I am going with the flow. The aim is to play different characters because I don’t want to go on a set and feel bored. I don’t want to come out and think, ‘I know this.’ I want to feel challenged, to be surprised, ‘How would it be?’ -And then want to make it happen. When I go home I need to feel satisfied as an actor.
