Tractor Subsidy: Government will give one lakh rupees on purchasing tractor

New Delhi. Now in India it has become very difficult to do farming without tractors. This is the reason why tractors have become very important for farmers in India. However, buying it is not within everyone’s reach. Today the price of tractor has increased a lot. The price of a 45 horse power tractor itself is now more than Rs 5 lakh. Haryana government has now brought tractor subsidy so that small and poor farmers can also buy tractors. With the help of this scheme, farmers can buy tractors at lower prices. Only Scheduled Caste farmers will be able to avail the benefit of this tractor subsidy.

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department will provide assistance of Rs 1 lakh to Scheduled Caste farmers for purchasing tractors with 45 HP or more capacity. This means that out of the total cost of the farmer’s tractor, the Haryana government will pay Rs 1 lakh from its own pocket. Farmers can apply online for this scheme. Beneficiary farmers will be selected through draw.

How to apply?
Haryana Government has started the application process for tractors with 45 HP or more capacity from 26 February 2024. To get subsidy, farmers can submit online application on the official website of the department www.agriharyana.gov.in till March 11. More information related to Tractor Subsidy Scheme can be obtained on toll free number 1800-180-2117 or by contacting the District Agriculture Department.

These documents will be needed
Scheduled Caste farmers will have to upload Scheduled Caste certificate, affidavit, PAN card, Aadhar card, Family Identity Card (PPP), photocopy of bank account and agricultural land records on the online portal. Only residents of Haryana state can avail the benefit of this scheme. Also, there should not be any benefit of subsidy on tractors under any scheme of the department during the last five years. The beneficiary will not sell the tractor before completion of 5 years from the date of purchase.

Will the selection be done by draw?
According to the information given on the portal of Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, the beneficiaries will be selected through a draw by the District Level Executive Committee under the chairmanship of the District Deputy Commissioner. Subsidy will be paid into the bank account of the beneficiaries after purchase and physical verification by the committee.
