Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that it has crossed the one lakh sales mark for its Urban Cruiser Hyderabad compact SUV since its launch in 2022. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyderabad comes with strong hybrid, petrol and CNG powertrains, and rivals SUVs like Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai. Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor. The prices of the Urban Cruiser Highrider are as follows From Rs 11.14 lakh (ex-showroom) ₹ 20.19 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec hybrid variant.
Jointly developed by Toyota and Suzuki, the urban cruiser Hayrider shares its platform and technical specifications with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Interestingly, the Urban Cruiser Hyderabadi and Grand Vitara are the only compact SUVs in the market with strong hybrid technology, coming with a 177.6V battery pack in addition to the engine.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyderabad: Specifications
The urban cruiser Hyrider SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol unit for petrol and CNG variants as well as a 1.5-litre petrol engine for the hybrid powertrain. The petrol and CNG variants come with five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission options, with power ranging from 87 bhp for the CNG model to 102 bhp for the petrol model, while torque figures stand at 121 Nm and 136.8 Nm. Happens between. On the other hand, the hybrid versions have a 1.5L three-cylinder petrol unit mated to an e-drive transmission that produces 91 bhp and 141 Nm of peak torque.

In terms of efficiency, the petrol version offers a mileage of over 21 kmpl, while the CNG version claims to deliver a mileage of over 26.6 kmpl. The strong hybrid variant delivers the highest efficiency mileage with 28 kmpl.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyderabad: Features
The Urban Cruiser Hayrider SUV features a range of modern features aimed at making the SUV more convenient and safe. Equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 7-inch digital driver display, the cabin of the Urban Cruiser Hayrider features contemporary features like a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, reclining rear seats and a wireless charging pad.
Safety features of the SUV include six airbags, head-up display (HUD), 360-degree camera and other advanced technologies like hill hold control and stability control. Additionally, the Urban Cruiser Hyderabad also gets ABS with EBD along with four disc brakes.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyderabad: Variants
The Urban Cruiser Hyderabad is available in three configurations – Neo Drive, which is equipped with a petrol engine, a CNG-powered variant and a strong hybrid variant. A total of 13 different variants have been offered in these trims. Recently, the carmaker launched a special edition of the urban cruiser HyRyder. The special edition is available in all petrol variants except the base E trim. For the hybrid range, the special edition is available in G and V trims.
