New Delhi. The month of July has started and automobile companies have started releasing the sales figures for June. Toyota, Mahindra and MG Motor have shared the sales figures for June 2024. While on one hand there has been a tremendous jump in the sales of Toyota and Mahindra & Mahindra, on the other hand, there has been a decline in the sales of JSW MG Motor. Not only this, Toyota has sold the highest number of models so far in June. The month of June was very good for Toyota and the company has registered tremendous sales.
Vehicle manufacturer Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recorded its highest ever monthly sales of 27,474 units in June 2024. The company’s total supply to dealers grew 40 per cent to 27,474 units last month as against 19,608 units in June 2023. The company’s domestic wholesales stood at 25,752 units last month, while exports stood at 1,722 units.
Mahindra’s sales also increased
Mahindra & Mahindra’s retail sales in June grew 11 per cent year-on-year to 69,397 units. The company’s total retail sales in June 2023 stood at 62,429 units. The Mumbai-based automaker said in a statement that its passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market grew 23 per cent to 40,022 units last month from 32,588 units in June last year. Total exports stood at 2,597 units last month, up four per cent from 2,505 units in June 2023.
How were the sales of MG Motor?
MG Motor India’s retail sales in June declined 9 per cent year-on-year to 4,644 units. The automaker’s retail sales stood at 5,125 units in June 2023. According to a statement issued by JSW MG Motor India, the company’s flagship SUV-ZS EV recorded its highest monthly sales ever in June 2024. The statement said, MG sold 1,861 units of electric passenger vehicles in June. E-vehicles contributed over 40 per cent to total sales.
