The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) had declared the Class 12 board result 2024 today, May 6. This year TNDGE conducted the class 12 board exam from March 1 to March 22. This year’s results show that the overall pass percentage of students in class 12 was 94.56 percent, which is slightly higher than last year. This shows that out of 7,60,606 applicants who appeared for the HSC +2 exam, 7,19,196 passed. Girls once again outperformed boys with 96.44 percent, while the overall pass rate for boys is 92.37 percent.

This year, Kanyakumari emerged as the best performing district with a pass rate of 95.72 per cent. Notably, all students from 2478 schools passed the 2024 Class 12 board exams, achieving a perfect score for those institutions. These include 397 government schools.
Students can check and download their scorecard from the official website of TNDGE, tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in by entering their roll number and date of birth (DOB). Candidates can also check their result through SMS service or DigiLocker. How to check TN HSC 12th Result 2024 online?
Step 1: Visit the official website of Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu, dge.tn.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for Class 12th Result 2024 or something similar and click on it.
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new window asking for your login credentials i.e. your roll number and date of birth. Fill the information carefully.
Step 4: Your TNDGE Class 12th final result will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Download your result and take a printout of it on A4 size sheet paper for future reference.
To pass the Class 12 examination, all students must obtain a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject. All those candidates who are dissatisfied with their results or inquiring about the marks in any subject can apply for revaluation of their answer sheets after the declaration of the final result at dge.tn.gov.in.
In 2023, the board declared the class 12 result on May 8 and the overall pass percentage stood at 94.03 percent.
