The exams were held at various centres across the southern state between June 24 and July 1. The exams were held in a single shift from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm to ensure that students get enough time to study and take the exam every day.
Data shared by the Directorate of Government Examinations in Tamil Nadu shows that 2478 schools in the state achieved 100% pass percentage in the Class 12 annual examination – including 397 government schools.
Steps to check the result:
1. Open the official website of DGETN, dge.tn.gov.in.
2. Click on the link ‘TN 12th Supplementary Result 2024’ given on the home page.
3. Enter your login details and click on Submit.
4. Your supplementary result will be displayed on the screen.
5. Check and download as required. It is also advisable to keep a hard copy of the details.

The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary exam results were shared by the board in early May this year, with 94.56% of the 7,19,196 applicants clearing the exam. Students were required to score at least 35% marks in each subject to pass the exam. Students who fell short of this criterion became eligible to take supplementary exams.
Candidates should double-check their results and report any discrepancies to the school authorities or DGE Tamil Nadu immediately. It is also recommended that they retain their provisional mark sheets until the final passing certificates are submitted to their schools.
