New Delhi. The beginning of the first month of the new financial year was very good for Hero MotoCorp. Hero recorded sales of 5.33 lakh units in April 2024. The world’s largest two-wheeler maker reported growth in domestic sales with year-on-year improvement in sales.
The share of motorcycles in Hero MotoCorp’s sales was 93.06%. The company sold 4,96,542 units of motorcycles in April 2024, which is 34.63% more than 3,68,830 units sold in April 2023. This was an increase of 1,27,712 units in sales.
On the other hand, scooter sales also saw an increase of 35.80% compared to 27,277 units sold in April 2023. Scooter sales reached 37,043 units last month and achieved a share of 6.94%.
Total domestic sales of Hero two-wheelers increased by 32.91% to 5,13,296 units in April 2024 from 3,86,184 units in April 2023. Exports, on the other hand, saw more than double improvement on a year-on-year basis, increasing by 104.46% to 20,289 units last month, which is more than 9,923 units sold in the same month last year.
