The company has kept its price at Rs 34,990. But the special thing is that it is now being made available on Amazon at a discounted price, after which its price is Rs 30,791. The new microphone is now available for purchase at all Sony Centres, Alpha Flagship stores, Sony Authorized Dealers, e-commerce websites Amazon, Flipkart and leading electronic stores across the country.
Sony company said, ‘For professional videographers and video content creators who need high-quality audio for shoots, livestreams and podcasts, the ECM-S1 microphone can prove to be excellent.’

The microphone has three 14mm diameter capsules to capture voice naturally and with high quality sound. The company said that it also has a noise-cut filter, which uses digital signal processing to remove loud noise. It also has a low-cut filter that reduces unnecessary low-frequency noise like wind, air conditioning and vibration, thereby reducing the impact of the surrounding environment.
One charge will last for 13 hours
According to the company, the weight of the microphone is approximately 157 grams. When the battery is fully charged using a USB Type-C cable, it can be used continuously for 13 hours.
The company said that when recording with a USB connection between the microphone and a PC or smartphone, headphones can be connected to the microphone’s headphone jack to monitor audio without involving a connected device.
