Missing Tile Syndrome: You must have seen some people who have everything, but still they always feel that something is missing. Actually this happens with all of us. Many times we feel that everything is bad in life. We are surrounded by problems from all sides… Are you also a victim of Missing Tile Syndrome? Tiles spoiled the beauty

Let us understand this through a story. Once some scientists did an experiment. A very beautiful hotel was built. Its beauty was amazing. Everything from the entrance to the rooms was decorated. A swimming pool was also built in this hotel. Blue colour tiles were installed in the entire pool. But only 2 tiles were not installed in the entire pool. Now when guests used to come to this hotel, they used to praise the hotel a lot, but as soon as they saw the swimming pool of the hotel, they started missing these 2 tiles. Every guest would forget the beauty of the hotel and start talking only about the lack of these tiles. This is Missing Tile Syndrome. This happens in all of our lives. Often we also start focusing on these small shortcomings leaving aside all the other beautiful things in our lives.

There is a tile missing in everyone’s life

Psychologist, Dr. Sagar Mundhra explains that missing tile syndrome is a habit in which we focus on the things that we do not have, not on the things that we have. There are 100 things in our life, 99 of them are going well. But we are sad or worried only for that one thing, which we do not have or is not going according to our wishes. This happens often in this era of social media. Often people post pictures or statuses on social media about their vacation, buying a new car or any such achievement. In such a situation, we often start thinking about their life being ‘happy’ and our own being sad. But if this habit is changed, then 90% of the problems in our life can be solved. Actually, we have to understand that the people or things whose lives we are cursing from a distance, in fact, there is at least one missing tile in their lives too.

How to get rid of this habit

– We have got a lot. Start appreciating what you have in life.
– Life is a race, but not with anyone else… You have to decide your journey yourself and it can be completely different from others.
Whatever you have, whatever relationships you have, you have created them all. Appreciate them, start respecting them.
– Try to identify your passion and follow it. It makes you happy.
– Shift your thinking towards positivity. You don’t have an expensive sports car because you don’t need it. Not because you don’t have the power to buy it. Some things can be luxury, but not for everyone.
– Remember, even if you get the thing you want today, your life will not be completely happy. Because after that you will want something else.
