This is a challenge to find myself again
Hina Khan further writes in her post, ‘We become what we believe in and I have taken this challenge as an opportunity to rediscover and find myself. I want to normalise this cancer experience for myself and I have decided to look at it with understanding. What matters to me is my commitment to my work. What matters to me is my inspiration, passion and art. I refuse to give in. This award, which I accepted directly before going to the hospital for my first chemo, was not my courage and inspiration alone. In fact, I was able to take this decision because I wanted to live up to the standards I had set for myself.

Never give up
Hina further writes, ‘Mind over matter. I first attended the event and then went straight to the hospital for my first chemo. I just request all of you to normalise this disease. You too should normalise the challenges in your life and then set your goals. Try your best to achieve every goal, no matter how difficult it is. Never Give Up.’
