New Delhi. Car customers in the country have become very conscious. Now the sales of entry level cars are gradually decreasing and they are being replaced by compact SUVs or micro SUVs. One reason for this is the safety features available in cars. Now customers are giving more importance to the safety features of the car than the mileage. Obviously, entry level cars have very few safety features and their build quality is also not good. Because of this, customers are preferring to buy safe cars by investing more money.

Maruti Suzuki Swift is a very popular hatchback car in the market at present. It is one of the most successful cars of the company and sells well due to its excellent mileage. Its monthly average sales are around 15 thousand units. On the other hand, the car we are talking about is also selling around 15-16 thousand units every month. However, there is a difference of about Rs 2 lakh in the price of these two cars. The starting ex-showroom price of Swift is Rs 6.24 lakh while the price of this second car starts from Rs 8.15 lakh.

This is the emperor of the market
Actually, the car we are talking about is Tata Motors’ Nexon SUV. This is currently one of the best cars in the compact SUV segment. It has got 5-star like Global Safety Rating NCAP. In terms of safety, it is the only car in its segment.

Iron is one and a half times more than Swift
The strength of this car can be gauged from the fact that almost one and a half times more iron has been used in it compared to Maruti’s most popular hatchback Swift. According to the available data, the curb weight of Swift is 875 kg. In technical language, curb weight means only the weight of the vehicle. At the time of taking this weight, neither any person is present in the vehicle nor are there any additional accessories in it. On the other hand, the curb weight of Nexon is 1250 to 1300 kg. That means, almost one and a half times more iron has been used as compared to Swift. If seen in this way, approximately 400 kg more iron has been used in Nexon as compared to Baleno.

value for money car
At present Tata Nexon is available in three versions petrol, diesel and electric. At the same time, its CNG variant can also be launched very soon. Its ex-showroom price starts from Rs 8.15 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.80 lakh. Its petrol model has a 1.2 liter engine and diesel has a 1.5 liter engine. Nexon is claimed to have a mileage of up to 17 km per liter in petrol version and 23 km per liter in diesel.
