This car got the title of the world’s best electric car, showed dominance in the World Car Award, will come to India soon

New Delhi. Electric vehicles (EVs) were all the rage at the 2024 World Car Awards. In this, Kia’s EV9 remained at the forefront. This prestigious event was organized during the New York Auto Show. The eyes of the world were fixed on this event. The Kia EV9 won the World Car of the Year (WCOTY) title, beating rivals like the BYD Seal and the Volvo EX30. Let us tell you that this car was introduced as a concept vehicle during the Auto Expo 2023 in India. More than 100 auto journalists from 29 countries participated in it and evaluated 38 vehicles in different categories.

Also, let us tell you that apart from the World Car of the Year, Kia’s EV9 also won the 2024 World Electric Vehicle Award. In this way, this car has strengthened its position in the electric vehicle segment. It will soon be launched in the Indian market as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). It will be launched here in two battery options of 76.1 kWh and 99.8 kWh.

During this show, Hyundai also made headlines through Ioniq 5 N. This car has been given the title of 2024 World Performance Car. This vehicle gives amazing performance through its 84 kWh battery pack. This car reaches the speed of 0-100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. On the other hand, BMW has won the 2024 World Luxury Car Award through its 5 Series and i5 models. This is the brand’s ninth win at the World Car Awards in its 20-year history.

Similarly, Volvo’s EX30 electric crossover has been given the title of 2024 World Urban Car. With this, this was the brand’s second win at the World Car Awards. Earlier in the year 2018, Volvo XC60 had won an award.
