New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki has launched the new generation of Swift in India only last week, the prices of which start from Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). At the same time, the price of its top variant goes up to Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Maruti Swift directly competes with the Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and its deliveries are expected to start soon.
Maruti Suzuki started booking the new generation Swift from May 1, 2024 and now the company has also shared its booking figures. The booking figures itself show that the new Maruti Swift has received an overwhelming response. According to the company, within just 10 days of the start of booking, 10,000 units of the new Swift have been booked.
What is the booking amount?
The new Maruti Swift can be booked by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. Customers wishing to buy it can book through the company’s official website as well as at the dealership. Let us tell you that the new generation Swift has been launched in five variants – LXi, VXi, VXi(O), ZXi and ZXi+. It has been made available in nine different paint options.
Equipped with hybrid engine
The company says that the new Swift is a unique confluence of innovation, technology and sustainability. Swift has a 1.2 liter Z-series mild hybrid engine. About which the company claims that it is more fuel efficient than before. This engine generates power of 82hp and torque of 108 Nm. Along with manual gearbox, the engine is also equipped with CVT transmission.
Safety is better than before
In the new Swift, the company has taken full care of the safety of the customers. It gets 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts with seatbelt reminder on all seats, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and anti-lock braking system (ABS) with brake assist (BA). Such safety features have been provided. The special thing in this is that all the features are available as standard, that is, these features will be available in the top model of Swift as well as in the base model.
