In fact, Microsoft’s Threat Intelligence team has detected several malicious apps present on the Google Play Store, and has immediately warned Android users that they are at risk. It is reported that these apps have been downloaded more than 4 billion, and security vulnerabilities were found in these popular Android apps, which puts the sensitive data of the users at risk of being compromised.
The tech giant has named this security flaw as ‘Dirty Stream’. In this, the attacker with the malicious app tampers with the settings of the user’s phone to target him, and then tries to steal his sensitive data by taking access to the authentication account.
