1. Bhareshvar Temple
There is a Shiv temple situated in the dense forests on the banks of Panchnad in Thana Bareh area under Chakarnagar tehsil, at a distance of about 55 km from Etawah headquarters. It is currently in the news. A large crowd can be seen at this temple during the month of Sawan. A large number of youth visit this temple. This Shiv temple is a very historical temple. It is believed that during the Mahabharata period, Bhima among the Pandavas worshipped Shivling and established it.
2. Lion Safari Park
Etawah district is considered to be the stronghold of socialists. SP chief Mulayam Singh dreamed of building a lion safari in Etawah like other states, so to fulfil that dream, Akhilesh built the Safari Park. This Safari Park has many special things for tourists along with the lion breeding centre.
3. Kalika Devi Temple
Kalika Devi Temple located in Lakhna of Etawah district is considered an example of communal harmony. In this temple, where the goddess is worshipped, people from the Muslim community come to offer chaadar on the tomb. The special thing is that during Navratri, people from both Hindu and Muslim religions come to worship in this temple. Inside the temple, along with the mother’s chunari, a chaadar is also offered on the tomb. It is believed that until the goddess’ idol is worshipped and a chaadar is offered on the tomb, the wishes of any devotee are not fulfilled.
4. Panchnad: Confluence of five rivers
Panchnad is a place where five rivers meet. Chambal, Kwari, Yamuna, Sindhu and Pahuj rivers meet at this place. That is why this place is called Panchnad. This is the only place in Uttar Pradesh where five rivers meet. This place is considered to be very full of religious beliefs and a supernatural place. There are many historical stories about this place. This ancient place is about 70 kilometers away from Etawah.
5. Victoria Hall
It was built during the time of A.U. Hume, who was the DM of Etawah before independence. The call for independence was blown from here. In the name of Queen Victoria, the royal family and wealthy families of the district built the Victoria Memorial Hall on the banks of the city’s Pakka Talab.
