The truth of this beautiful lake is scary, whoever went inside, it is difficult to survive, know the reason…

Pictures of a lake in the Russian city of Novosibirsk are going viral on social media. In some pictures, a woman in bikini is seen posing on the water bank and in some, a person is seen boating. But in reality all this is an illusion. Even years ago, pictures of this lake had gone viral, when scientists had issued a warning about it and informed about the horrifying truth of the lake. Scientists had then said that tourists should not be deceived by its attractive turquoise hue, because this lake is actually a poisonous reservoir. In this, chemical residues are dumped from the nearby power plant.

Scientists said that this lovely color which gives people a heavenly feeling is actually the result of a chemical reaction between calcium and metal oxide dissolved in water. In such a situation, if someone goes inside it, it may be difficult for him to survive. Let us tell you that the local residents of Russia’s third largest city had started calling the lake “Siberian Maldives”. In such a situation, people started coming here to take selfies and many people also started coming for fashion and wedding photography. Some even made plans for a walk in the lake.

However, at that time the company associated with the power plant said that the pond was not poisonous, but the water was highly alkaline. In such a situation, if someone touches its water, his skin may get irritated. On its social media page, the company advised people to be careful and said, “Don’t fall into a pile of ashes while taking a selfie.” Not only this, the company had also said that the lake is only 3 to 6 feet deep and there is a lot of mud below. In such a situation, if someone falls, it is “practically impossible” to pull him out of the water without help.

Despite warnings, tourists continue to come to the lake and some even enter the water. But those who go into the water also have to suffer the consequences. Sometimes someone gets pimples on the face and sometimes someone complains of dry nose and throat. Many people say that the water smells of strong detergent. Please note that the lake is not natural. It was dug to dump chemical ash resulting from burning coal at a thermal power station that provides energy to the city of Novosibirsk. Built in the 1970s, this power plant is the largest of its kind in Siberia.
