India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the new generation model of its budget hatchback Swift. The company’s fourth generation Swift has now started reaching some dealerships. The new generation Swift will be equipped with many new updates and features, and it will also get a new engine. After its launch in India, it will compete with Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago.

The design will be completely new
Fourth generation Maruti Swift is going to come in a completely new design. However, before launching, many pictures of this car have been revealed. According to the information, it has been given a completely new design LED projector headlight, new front bumper, new design grill and new rear view mirror. The company is also offering redesigned alloy wheels in the car. The rear profile of the car is also completely new and now a connecting LED light strip has been provided at the rear which is giving it a premium look from the rear.

Will be equipped with hybrid engine
It has come to light in many media reports that the company is going to introduce the new generation Swift with a mild hybrid engine. The existing 1.2-litre 4-cylinder, K12 petrol engine will be replaced by a brand new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z series petrol engine in the Swift. The special thing is that this car will also be available with mild hybrid engine. According to reports, the non-hybrid version will offer a mileage of 23.4 kmpl, while the mild-hybrid model can offer a mileage of 25 kmpl.

Can get ADAS
The non-hybrid engine of the new generation Swift can be had with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the hybrid powertrain can be mated exclusively to a CVT automatic gearbox. Apart from the hybrid engine, advanced safety feature suite like ADAS i.e. Advanced Driver Assistance System can also be found in the top models of the new Swift.

how much will it cost
According to reports, the new generation Maruti Swift may be a little more expensive than its current model. The price of the current models of Swift starts from Rs 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom), while the new generation Swift can be launched at a starting price of Rs 6.50-6.70 lakh.
