Delhi IGI Airport: An example of how careless attitude of passengers can become a big problem for them was once again seen at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. This passenger had reached Terminal 3 of IGI Airport to go to Hyderabad by Indigo Airlines flight 6E-5198.

According to a senior officer associated with the security of IGI Airport, at around 7:30 in the morning, scanning of hand baggage of passengers was going on at Automatic Tray Retrieval System (ATRS) number three in Terminal Three. Meanwhile, CISF Sub Inspector Harish Kumar saw a suspicious thing inside a ladies bag on the screen.

He told that as soon as anything suspicious was noticed, the bag was separated for physical check. The investigation that started after this revealed that the bag belonged to a lady passenger going to Hyderabad on Indigo Airlines flight 6E-5198. Airlines have allotted seat number 36B to this lady passenger of Farrukhabad origin.

Within a few minutes the search of this lady passenger was completed and the search of the bag in front of her started. This bag was the personal ladies purse of the lady passenger. During the search, two live cartridges were recovered from inside the purse of the lady passenger. Neither could it give any satisfactory answer regarding these cartridges nor could it present any document.

Arrested under Arms Act
After which, CISF has handed over this lady passenger to IGI Airport police station for further action. The IGI Airport police station has registered a case against him under Section 25 of the Arms Act and arrested him. In this case, further action is going on along with questioning the lady passenger.
