The CA final exam will be held three times a year from 2025 instead of two, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced on Thursday.
Last year, ICAI decided to conduct intermediate and foundation courses examination three times a year and now the CA will follow the final examination suit, said that.
ICAI said in a statement, “To align with global best practices and provide more and more opportunities to students, the 26th Council of ICAI has taken a historic decision to make the CA final exam three times a year. The exam was being conducted twice a year.”
“Now, all three levels – CA final, intermediate and foundation, every year there will be similar number of efforts, which will give students more opportunities to appear in the exam. These exams will be held in the months of January, May and September.”
ICAI said that the post qualification course in the information system audit will also have to undergo a change.
“Earlier held twice a year in June and December, the evaluation test for this course will now be conducted three times a year – February, June and October, to move forward for members and increase the convenience,” it said.
