The last episode of Star Wars The Acolyte aired and fans were not ready for the show to end yet. Fans desired a second season of the series as #RenewAcolyte started trending on micro-blogging site X. Episode 8 of The Acolyte, which aired on Wednesday, July 17, hinted at a possible renewal of the second season.

Will there be a season 2 of The Acolyte?
Although there has been no official announcement of a second episode of the second season of Star Wars, it doesn’t seem far-fetched. Fans of the show have been demanding a renewal of The Acolyte even before the last episode has aired. As The Wrap reports, the last episode saw Osha and May learn about the truth of Sol and the entire story of Brandok and Vanestra chasing after the twins or the presence of Kimir was not mentioned.
There’s a lot to be unraveled as the events of Episode 8 unfold. Starting with the biggest question, that is, who saw Osha and Kymir leaving for Brendok at the beginning of the episode? The man with curly hands, deep red eyes, and a black hood was hard to identify. The next question is, what’s the connection between Kymir and the Knights of Ren? It’s undeniable that everything from Kymir’s helmet to his fighting stance resembles the elite group of dark side warriors and whenever Kymir is on screen, Kylo Ren’s theme song plays.
One of the major mysteries to be solved is the unmasking of the master of Qimir. Also, Yoda’s presence has raised questions about his role in the plot and whether he will play a bigger role in the future.

Leslye Hedlund hints at season renewal
The possibility of a new season doesn’t just depend on questions that haven’t been answered yet. The Acolyte creator Leslye Hedlund also hinted that the series could have a second season. In an in-depth interview with Nerdist, Leslye Headland discussed the direction of the series and future possibilities. While assuring fans of a satisfying conclusion to Season 1, Headland suggested that there’s still a lot more to know. “We’re definitely not going to leave you hanging,” Headland assured. “You do a show like this, you take a lot of risks, you don’t really save a lot of questions like that for season two.”
