Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Animal’ wreaked havoc at the box office. In this film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Rashmika Mandanna was in the female lead along with Ranbir and Trupti Dimri was also seen. Rashmika Mandanna played the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s wife in the film and also gave some bold scenes with the actor. Rashmika has also given many kissing scenes with Ranbir in Animal. However, now the actress has revealed the scene of the film, after which she cried bitterly on the set. Not only this, after doing this scene she also went to Ranbir Kapoor and discussed it.
Rashmika Mandanna told that she spoke openly about the scene in which she slapped Ranbir Kapoor in the film Animal. The film Sandeep Reddy Vanga was released last month and was a blockbuster. In a scene of the film, she was seen slapping the actor’s character Rannvijay. Now in a new interview, Rashmika revealed about this scene and said that she cried after shooting one of its takes.
Talking to Pinkvilla, Rashmika said- ‘The entire sequence had to be done in one go because there was a lot happening in it. It was not predictable. I didn’t know what I was going to do. Sandeep just asked me to feel how a person would feel in this situation. Just remember this. I don’t remember anything between the action and the cut. I couldn’t process it, my mind was going completely blank.
The actress further said- ‘I was really crying after shooting this scene. I have slapped Ranbir. I was just shouting this. There was chaos regarding this. Then I went to Ranbir and asked – Was it okay? Are you okay? We finished this sequence in half a day. I liked it and felt that this was the best level as an actor. People cannot write such sequences every time. I am happy that I did this film, did this sequence so well. I myself was surprised about it.
Talking about Animal, the film revolves around the toxic relationship between a man and his father. The film depicts Vijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who will go to any extent to protect his father, including killing 200 people with a machine gun. However, despite his many efforts, he has to struggle to get his father’s love and approval. Animal has already crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the Indian box office. Talking about the worldwide collection, it has crossed the figure of Rs 900 crore.
