The Teeter College of Business, founded by Pratham Mittal, has launched a four-year undergraduate program in Management and Technology, with its first batch having about 120 students, half from developed nations and half from developing countries.

Students from different countries will learn business by setting up businesses in the US, Italy, India, Singapore, Brazil, UAE, and Ghana.

The British university, Middlesex University, will award degrees to Tetra students after completion of the undergraduate program.

The first batch of Tetr began here on Monday, with the students using the University of Europe campus for e-commerce business in the first term till December. In the second term, they will go to India in January and learn at the IIT campus.

Mittal, an alumnus of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, said the new curriculum has been designed based on four key principles – values, experience, skills and acumen – as the students will be in each country for four to five months.

“We have to give our students a real-world goal. If they are able to do that, it will create motivation in them. We want to provide them the first practical experience of running a business,” Mittal told PTI.

“The students will learn business by building businesses during their eight semesters. They will stay in each country for four to five months and will use the campuses of partner institutions for business bureau education in these countries,” he said.

As part of its four-year undergraduate programme, students will study at some of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions, including SDA Bocconi (Italy), NUS (Singapore) and IITs (India).

“As part of the curriculum, Tetra will provide students with a holistic understanding of how to build brands, investment portfolios, and make data-driven decisions within the local cultural context as they travel and study around the world,” he added.

Dafana, who is from Argentina, said she hopes her civil engineer daughter will “live her experience” as this is a new generation concept, adding, “I hope this new concept (of Tetr) will be successful.”

Vibhor, who is from Pune, India, said he was very impressed with this new concept that goes beyond traditional education through a cross-border degree programme.
