Tata Car Sales: Tata Motors has shared interesting figures of sales of its passenger cars. The company’s cars are becoming increasingly popular not only in big cities but also in small towns and villages. The figures show why people in rural areas are liking this indigenous car. Tata Motors has made tremendous sales in rural areas in the financial year 2024. Rural sales have contributed 40 percent to the company’s total passenger vehicle sales. That is, out of 100, 40 cars have been sold in rural areas.
The popularity of Tata Motors’ cars has increased rapidly among rural consumers. The number of people buying the company’s cars for the first time is around 70 percent. With the development of infrastructure, digitalization and increasing purchasing power in the country, the gap between rural and urban customers is decreasing. Multi powertrain options (petrol, diesel, CNG and EV) are available in the Tata car and SUV range, which gives the customer the freedom to choose a better option according to their needs.
Tata Motors shared the figures
1. Tata Motors has expanded rapidly in the rural market due to which SUV sales have increased from 35 per cent to 70 per cent.
2. Sales of vehicles running on alternate fuel (CNG/EV) increased from 5 per cent in FY22 to 23 per cent in FY24.
3. Demand for twin-cylinder CNG cars has increased. In rural markets, 16 out of 100 cars are CNG.
4. In rural markets, customers are shifting from MT to AMT/AT. Automatic transmission has seen a growth of more than 14 percent.
