New Delhi. Tata Motors is going to launch its first coupe SUV Tata Curvv in India on 7 August. This SUV is going to be launched in both fuel as well as electric versions. Information about the powertrain of its fuel version has been revealed.
According to the information, this car will be launched in three engine options. It will include 1.2 liter turbo petrol, 1.2 liter GTI petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine. Let’s know in detail about the power and performance of all three engines.
Tata Curvv: Engine and Transmission
Talking about power output, the new 1.2-liter GDi motor of Tata Curve is capable of generating 123bhp of power and 225Nm of peak torque. The company has sourced the turbo-petrol engine used in it from Nexon. This engine generates 118bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. At the same time, the 1.5-liter diesel engine is capable of generating 113bhp of power and 260Nm of peak torque.
Talking about transmission options, all three engines will come with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCA (DCT) gearboxes. Apart from this, like other Tata SUVs, the Curve will be equipped with three drive modes – Eco, City and Sport.
