‘Sun rise’ will happen in the dense darkness, sunlight will be sold, sunlight will come at night

Plan to collect sunlight and send it to Earth’s solar panels at nightIn this, you will be able to get sunlight at night by paying money, this will happen through satelliteRussia tried to do this around 1992 but the matter could not move forward then.

Imagine if it is pitch dark at night and instead of the moon, the rays of the sun start spreading light in the sky, what would be your reaction?? It sounds like a dream but soon this dream can become a reality. Soon the rays of the sun will spread light on your roof even in the darkness of the night. You must be wondering how is this possible? So let us tell you in detail.

Actually, there is a startup in California, USA, named Reflect Orbital. It has planned to sell sunlight. According to the startup, it will launch satellites in space, with the help of which sunlight can be reflected on the earth at night, so that energy production will continue without any hindrance.

Reflect Orbital CEO Ben Novak recently presented this idea at the ‘International Conference on Energy from Space’ in London. Novak said that his company is planning to send such satellites into space, which can collect sunlight and send it to the solar panels on Earth at night.

Sunlight On Demand
He named this process ‘Sunlight on Demand’. In which sunlight will be freed from the bondage of day and night. This means that now we will not have to wait for the day for sunlight, rather it can be obtained anytime and from anywhere through these satellites.

Using solar energy at night
Novak said in an interview- I have an interesting way to solve the real problem related to solar energy. It is an unstoppable power… Everyone is installing lots of solar panels everywhere, which is a great option to provide energy to humanity but the sunlight stops at night. If you solve this basic problem as well, then you will get rid of the problem of getting solar energy everywhere.

Novak said that through his company he can use the potential of solar energy not only in daylight but also in the darkness of night and can increase the power generation capacity of the world.

57 satellites will reflect sunlight
He has also released a video of his startup’s unique idea. It shows how sunlight can be reflected at night. Novak said that his company’s goal is to sell sunlight in the dark of night, so that people’s homes will get ample electricity even at night. There is a plan to launch 57 small satellites. Each of these satellites is equipped with a 33 square foot ultra reflective Mylar mirror. These mirrors have been designed to reflect sunlight back to solar farms on Earth.

will this be a miracle
These satellites will orbit at an altitude of about 600 kilometers above the Earth’s surface. The satellites can potentially provide an extra 30 minutes of sunlight to solar energy plants during peak demand. If this happens, then believe that it is going to do wonders for the startup. A team of 7 people works in this startup, which has already tested its concept by adding an 8 by 8 feet Mylar mirror to a hot air balloon. The company is planning to launch it in the year 2025.

Russia has done this before
The reflect orbital scheme, which sounds incredible, has been tried before by Russia as well. In 1992, Russia launched the Znamya 2 mission. It deployed a mirror in orbit, which briefly shone a beam of light towards Earth. However, scientists were not able to replicate this success, mainly because at that time it was very expensive to send satellites into the sky.

Criticism also
This idea has also been criticized. Critics say that giving people access to sunlight through phones at will at night can further increase the already high levels of light pollution. Which can cause trouble to people trying to sleep in that area.

About the company that is going to do this
Reflect Orbital is a California-based startup co-founded by Ben Novak and CEO. According to the company’s website, Novak spent years working on hundreds of technology projects before starting Reflect Orbital to train for the day when the right idea came along.
