ChitrakootThis mountain is unique and miraculous in itself. Whether it is a severe heat or bitter cold, the trees of this mountain are always green. When the leaves on other mountains wither, there is a sheet of greenery on the Kamadgiri mountain located in Chitrakoot. According to religious beliefs, when Lord Rama came to Chitrakoot with Mother Sita and brother Lakshmana during his exile, he resided on the Kamadgiri mountain. It is said that even before his arrival, this mountain made itself green. He spent 11.5 years of exile here and then departed towards Dandak forest.
Divine powers
Even today, the powers of Shri Rama of this mountain are present. It is said that with the mere sight of this mountain, all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled. For the safety and service of Prabhu Shri Ram, 108 Ganges from Ayodhya and 52 goddesses came to Chitrakoot. When Lord Rama decided to leave Chitrakoot, he blessed these powers to reside in Kamadgiri mountain, since then this mountain is considered to be with divine powers.

Mohit Das, the priest of the parrot Mukhi Hanuman temple, told that Kamadgiri mountain is a immovable pilgrimage. Lord Rama spent 11.5 years here and performed meditation. The ladies and Ganges that came to protect Mata Janaki, they remained here on the orders of Lord Rama. Since then, this mountain has remained the center of divine powers. Devotees believe that all the sufferings are removed by the mere sight of the Kamadgiri mountain. Every year thousands of devotees come here to visit and revolve around this holy mountain.
